Demisch Danant
For Design Miami / 2011, Demisch Danant presents a selection of important works and rare chairs by Pierre Paulin in an environment inspired by Paulin's architecture.
One of the most important designers of the twentieth century, Paulin is best known for his innovative designs in the 1960's for Artifort. Paulin also significantly influenced French design through the 1970s, most notably working with the Mobilier National to design the private apartments of President George
Pompidou at the Palais de L'Elysee.
Demisch Danant specializes in twentieth-century European design with an emphasis on the late 1950s through the
1980s. The gallery features the work of Maria Pergay, Pierre Paulin, JosephAndre Motte, Pierre Guariche, Pentagonand others. The gallery also engagesin a series of exibitions concerning the intersection between architecture,design and art, including the work of Felice Varini and Krijn de Koning.
